When did yoga find you?
My Yoga journey began over five years ago, during one of the most difficult times of my life. I began the practice of yoga, meditation, and energy healing as a way to cope with my inner struggles. Through these mindfulness practices and personal reflection, I was able to release fears and experience an awakening from within. From that point forward, I committed myself to sharing these practices and my journey with the world to serve and help others heal and connect with their authentic self.
Why do you practice?
I practice yoga because it is a gateway to develop higher levels of consciousness and to connect with inner wisdom. I am convinced that consciousness is love, and that there is nothing more fulfilling than unconditional love of self. I believe Yoga is a vehicle to experience this feeling . Yoga allows us to love ourselves unconditionally, to face our fears, to challenge our body and mind, and to experience union and harmony within the self and the world around us; which is the greatest thing that can happen to any human!
How does yoga change you off the mat?
I believe that yoga is a way of life. Yoga has taught me discipline and self awareness, to live intentionally through my actions and be at peace with myself and the world around me. Through my yoga practice, I have learned to use my breath as a tool to control my mind and my emotions on and off the mat. I believe yoga makes me a more centered and conscious human being.
What is your style (teaching style)?
I would say my teaching style is a mix between disciplined and free. I believe that when we move our bodies with awareness and intention we have the opportunity to freely express our true selves.
Where are you when you’re not teaching?
When I am not teaching, I’m typically enjoying the outdoors and my personal yoga practice. I love running, cycling, and connecting to nature. I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends, there’s nothing better than being surrounded by people that love you unconditionally and support you on your journey. One of my favorite thing to do is travel, I love to explore and experience different cultures, I believe traveling expands our minds and helps us understand and embrace other ways of life.
What drives your Wild? (lights you up, motivates, what do you stand for, etc)
